“Most of our global problems - energy and water shortages, environmental degradation, climate change, economic inequality, food insecurity and others - cannot be tackled in isolation, as these problems are interconnected and interdependent. As never before, the coronavirus pandemic reveals to us the systemic nature of our world: Human, animal and ecological health are closely linked. Without a doubt, COVID-19, e is a wake-up call for humanity to rethink our capitalist and highly consumerist mode of development and the ways in which we relate to nature.
